[Review] COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF 50+

Sudah pakai sunscreen secara rutin? Mencari sunscreen yang pas buat kita memang harus coba-coba. Ada yang bikin iritasi, ada juga yang oke banget buat kulit. Kebetulan waktu itu aku lagi browsing produk sunscreen dan lihat produk ini dari COSRX yang direkomendasikan. So I will gamble with this product to see whether if it's a great sunscreen like people recommend or not. And yes, this is paraben, and cruelty free!

COSRX memang punya packaging yang simpel, minimalist, tapi ngasih impression yang sophisticated. Untuk produk yang ini, aku suka penutupnya karena gampang dibuka, gampang ngeluarin isinya, tapi gak bikin messy. Ukurannya juga sangat travel friendly jadi gampang dibawa kemana-mana. Nah, karena warna packagingnya warna putih dan agak tipis, jadi setiap kali aku arahin ke lampu atau cahaya isinya kelihatan. Aku jadi tau isinya masih banyak atau tinggal sedikit lol.

Texture: lotion and thick

Awal pemakaian, sebenarnya aku agak ragu. Aku gak expect teksturnya lumayan pekat. Teksturnya yang seperti lotion ini awalnya ngasih impression sunscreen ini bakal white cast di aku. Selain itu, sunscreen ini juga ada parfumnya, tapi baunya gak mengganggu. Menurutku karena termasuk agak bawah di ingredient list jadi gak iritasi, tapi tetap di tes dulu ya ada reaksi atau nggak 👌 Key ingredient didalamnya ada aloe leaf extractnya, tapi entah kenapa di urutan ingredient list terletak lumayan rendah.

Pas diaplikasikan ke wajah, butuh waktu agak lama untuk bener-bener meresap ke kulit. Awalnya memang terlihat white cast, tapi setelah nunggu beberapa menit produknya akan blend sama warna kulitku. Bagusnya ini gak bikin lengket terutama pas cuaca lagi panas-panasnya, dan gak bikin terlihat berminyak juga. Sunscreen ini juga ngasih efek yang soothing dan melembabkan wajah. Pokoknya bikin kulitku jadi keliatan lebih glowing! Sunscreen ini sepertinya bekerja dengan baik di bagian kulitku yang kering, tapi juga nggak ngasih efek yang buruk buat T-zoneku.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this. Memang mahal sih buatku, tapi selama aku belum dapat yang seenak ini, aku bakal tetap consider untuk repurchase! Definitely recommended and worth to try 😊

[Review] Axis-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream

Have you seen two moisturiser in one jar? If you haven't, neither have I - until I discovered this Korean brand. Agak mahal ya? Tapi menurutku ini worth it banget kalo dilihat isinya yang bisa dipakai untuk kulit kombinasi. Aku gak perlu untuk nyari mositurser yang berbeda untuk nyesuain sama kebutuhan kulitku, so I think this is an innovation solution for combination skin and I love it!

I do love the packaging 😍  Jadi moisturiser ini dipisah pakai pembatas di dalam jarnya. Plus, pas buka tutupnya sudah ada covernya biar gak tumpah dan ada spatulanya jadi gak perlu pakai jari lagi untuk ngambil produknya which I really appreciate it. Sebenernya memang aku suka sama packaging ini, tapi selama aku pakai kadang suka lengket dan nempel dimana-mana jadi gampang kotor. Mungkin dari akunya sendiri yang gampang bikin semuanya berantakan hehe. Menurutku, jar ini agak repot kalo mau dibawa traveling soalnya gede dan lebar, tapi selama ini karena dirumah terus jadinya gak masalah.

Moisturiser ini bentuknya gel. Yang warna putih (untuk daerah kering) lebih thick teksturenya daripada gel yang berwarna biru (untuk daerah oily). Tapi bukan berarti berat diwajah. Menurutku cukup lightweight terutama untuk daerah T-zoneku. Karena ada dua, kalian juga bisa pakai salah satu, keduanya, atau dicampur sesuai kebutuhan kulit kalian. It's up to you!

Pas di aplikasikan ke wajah, agak lama nyerapnya dan sedikit sticky menurutku (makanya kadang suka berantakan haha). Tapi setelah pakai dalam waktu beberapa jam, kulitku yang bagian T-zone gak berminyak sama sekali dan kulitku jadi lebih kenyal dan lembab banget! Jadi sekilas wajahku terlihat lebih glass skin (which I love it), dan ngasih efek claming. Bebas mau dipakai untuk AM, PM, atau dua"nya. Kalo aku pribadi lebih sering pakai pas PM routine, jadi pas bangun tidur kulitku auto glowing 💞

Yes, I know it's not cheap tapi kapan lagi bisa nyobain moisturiser unik kayak gini? hehe. Bayangin dengan harga segitu, kalian bisa dapet mosituriser seusai dengan kebutuhan kulit kalian, terutama untuk kulit kombinasi kayak aku. This could be your holy grail, or not at all (in this case, ini termasuk holy grailku hihi). Walaupun dapet dua, tapi kalian tes dulu ya jangan langsung kalian layering pakai produk lain 😉  Btw, well done Axis-Y!

[Review] Dear Me Beauty 30 Seconds Meltaway Balm

Cleansing is the first thing I do before doing my whole skincare routine to clean all impurities, including dirt, makeup, and even sunscreen residue. I think it's not enough just using only one cleanser in a day especially when I actively go out so it makes sense to do the double cleansing method. For my first cleanser is a cleansing balm from Dear Me Beauty, another local brand in my skincare regime. This is surprisingly affordable for me (I also bought on a discount lol) and of course, I'm into it! This cleansing balm has 2 variants; Honey 🍯  and Peach 🍑  The only difference is just the scent, it will work like it should whatever you choose.

Jar Packaging

Like usual, I pay attention to its packaging 👀  and Oh My God, I'm impressed! It includes a spatula to scoop the balm without dipping my finger in it which is quite sanitary, just don't forget to wash it though. It can be found inside the lid so if you wanna open the product, simply just rotate the cover. The design is simple, minimalist, but doesn't look cheap. With such price, I wanna say thank you for Dear Me Beauty for designing this packaging thoughtfully 😆

Spatula Included

Close-Up Texture

Like a common cleansing balm in the market, this is oil-based and it feels smooth. Once you rub it either on your palm or directly on your skin, it immediately melts into an oily texture. I tried to remove my makeup including waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and it effortlessly melts them and gets emulsified by water. Don't forget to close your eyes to remove your eye makeup!

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Tridecyl Isononanoate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEF-12 Diisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Tocopheryl, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Parfum.

After cleansing my face, I don't feel any tightness and dryness at all. In fact, my skin feels smoother and soft! You can see in the ingredient, it contains parfum to give peach or honey scent so be careful on your first try especially who has sensitive skin. It's on the lowest ingredient list and it doesn't irritate my skin so I don't mind at all.

By the way, I was curious about all the hype of deep cleansing with a cleansing balm. Eventually, I tried with this and rub for 10-15 minutes. All I can say is, Yes it definitely works. I could see some oil plugs on my palms, and some white dots on it. I'm sorry I didn't take the picture though because I have bad camera quality 😂  But you can try by yourself and see with your own eyes that even if you wash your face with cleanser every day, you still find some impurities. You will feel tiny granules when you rub continuously! 

Overall, this cleansing balm is the bomb! Really great for double cleansing without leaving your skin dry. After all the review, I would say this is recommended 👌

[Review] Joylab Moisture Bomb Water Essence

I'm so happy to get another chance to review a local brand! This time, I choose Joylab water essence from Moisture Bomb collection. It's been in my regime for more than a month, and I would say pretty satisfied with this. The packaging is simple and minimalist, the way I usually like! no wonder I always feel excited (or should I say joyful? 😏) to use it. It comes with a pump so it doesn't create any mess at all. Plus, this is alcohol, paraben, sulfate, and cruelty-free!

Its texture is a little bit thick but also feels watery. No scents come from it even though contains fragrance in the ingredient. Yes, I prefer fragrance free products, but thank God I don't get irritation and bad impression from it so I ignore it. You only need 2 pumps, blend it into your skin, and gently tap. Wait for couple minutes until it perfectly absorbed. You can use it on AM and PM routine, but I prefer in the evening since I don't really like too much layering after I get up from the bed.

With shea butter and glycerin, they're great for dull and dehydrated skin! My skin feels moisturized, hydrated, but doesn't look oily. Sometimes I don't even need a moisturiser at all because of this product 😅 But this can be a booster for your moisturiser! Definitely works better on my dry skin area just like its claim. Repruchase? Perhaps yes, but for now I will try to find a more affordable one 👌

[Review] Sukin Facial Moisturiser

Hey, gorgeous! In this post, I want to talk about this beauty from Australia over here. I don't have any intention to buy from this brand actually, but I'm really curious about this particular product since it claims for all skin types. It's hard to find a suitable moisturizer for my combination skin so this is one of the products I am willing to give a chance. Besides, this is cruelty-free and vegan! That already gives a good start for me 👌

I choose the smaller size and it comes with a tube packaging. The problem is every time I want to open the lid, it's stuck and accidentally pushed the tube too hard I ended up getting too much cream out from it. It's quite irritating since I have to put moisturizer too much on my skin and put it back into the tube is impossible. I think the bigger size has better packaging, it's easier with a pump and less messy. So be careful if you wanna buy a smaller size! Don't make the same mistake as I did 😅

Definitely thicker than I expected and it takes time to absorb. I'm not a fan of cream moisturizer, it's too heavy and sticky when I apply it especially on a hot day (and living in Indonesia feels like summer everyday lol) but that's just my personal pet peeve though. So don't put too much, it will get uncomfortable and slippery.

In the first week, I felt a little bit warm sensation on my skin but only for 2 - 3 minutes. After a month of using, I get no bad reaction, no redness, no breakout! It claims for all skin types, but I kinda disagree. Since I have a combination skin type, this moisturizer fits well on my U-zone but leaves a bad impression on my T-zone particularly nose area. It gets so oily every morning. However, my cheeks area looks incredible, plump, and hydrated! It smells nice too, maybe because it has some natural oils in it rather than using fragrance.

I really want to love this product, but sadly it only works on my dry area although it claims for all skin types. If you have dry skin, this is worth trying!
